For Clubs & Communities

Project GO programs can be a great addition to your already-existing after-school program. 4-H Clubs, Scout units, daycare centers, School age child care sites, latch key programs, park and recreation programs, community centers, youth centers, community education programs, boys and girls clubs and a wide range of other after school programs can incorporate Project GO into their schedules.

Or, if a community does not have much programming available during the after school hours, Project GO programs can be run completely independent of another program.

The Project GO Club framework is built on components of 4-H and Scouting. Clubs are overseen by local program leaders and community volunteers who have been screened and trained. Clubs are open to youth between the ages of five and thirteen with a focus on serving low-income and at-risk children. Clubs meet once a week after school and during the summer months to participate in nature exploration and outdoor learning.

There is no fee for children to participate in Project GO Clubs.

Project GO provides FREE training to help guide your volunteers through the planning process for your program. This process includes mapping out the assets in your community; finding the potential volunteers, funders, program equipment and nature sites. We help you put the pieces of your program puzzle together!

Project GO also provides resources to help inform your volunteers and greater community of the important need to get children outdoors and connected to nature.

Though each step of planning, implementing, evaluating and sustaining your program, Project GO will be there to provide guidance on on-going support and resources.
